Our favorite musical baby toy appears to be haunted.
Papa Bird suggested this yesterday, when it spontaneously changed songs; now it has turned on when it was across the room from us and not near any cats.
If it isn’t haunted, perhaps the explanation is that the baby has experienced some sort of telepathic growth spurt.

This is Papa Bird, with Monster Hands, taking our house chicken for a walk in the yard on a leash.
Yes, the chicken is still living in the house. She’s cool with it. She’s got company there.
Yes, she is again wearing the chicken diaper. She’s in the yard and we could use the nitrogen, but she also likes to climb on people’s legs.
Without a diaper, that story ends poorly.
